“After living in the mountains of Montana for 25 years I moved onto a sailboat in the tropics. Living and traveling on a small boat, I am no longer able to garden or operate my landscape design business. Searching for a new creative outlet I transferred my talents for combining color, texture, and function in gardens to jewelry design. My designs, color combinations, and techniques are always changing as I work with polymer clay and discover new techniques for bead making. Traveling in the Americas, I am influenced by elements of nature; plants, fish, coral, and rock formations, as well as the crafts and architecture of cultures both ancient and modern. I make beads using polymer clay, a great medium for tropical designs and saturated colors. I combine my original polymer clay beads with other glass and metal beads to create uniquely designed earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Each piece of jewelry is one-of-a-kind wearable art meant to make the art of self- adornment fun and light-hearted.”
